Félix García, director of communication and marketing of ANFAC, He explained that “November closes positively with new growth. The upward pace continues as it has throughout the year. If December continues the trend we will have a close of around 950,000 units. If so, we would greatly improve the disastrous 2022 but we would still be below one million units. It should be noted that demand from individuals and companies continues to rise. The production rate has also stabilized, allowing delivery times to be improved. Regarding the choice of buyers, he highlights that conventional hybrid passenger cars are gaining ground month after month and are about to become the first choice of buyers. Without forgetting that the MOVES III plan to aid electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles has funds in which anyone who wants to buy it has the opportunity to have up to 7,000 euros in subsidies plus a 15% deduction of up to 3,000 euros in personal income tax.”
Raúl Morales, communication director of FACONAUTO, indicated that “vehicle registrations in the month of November have performed better than expected, above all, thanks to the contribution of the individual channel, that one-to-one sale made by the dealership. Furthermore, and very important, there are cars on the market, there is enough stock in the dealerships and that, logically, gives more joy to commercial activity; commercial activity that has also been supported by an extra promotional effort by brands and dealers that logically mobilizes demand. It can be said that it is a good time to change cars in our country. Looking ahead to the month of December, what is expected is that this commercial joy will continue and we can be almost certain that the year will end with more than 950,000 registrations in Spain.
Ganvam’s communications director, Tania Puche, highlighted that “the market grows again in November and has accumulated eleven months of growth. The fact that the European Central Bank (ECB) has stepped on the brakes, stopping the escalation of interest rates, and giving mortgage holders a break, has been a stimulus for buyers, in a context also in which initiatives such as the Black Friday have opened the door to special offers and discounts from vehicle dealers. In fact, purchases by individuals have boosted the market, accounting for half of the sales volume. At this rate, and if we take into account that December is usually a good month from a commercial point of view, we can be around 945,000 units at the end of 2023.”
