Sydney-based generative AI platform Leonardo.AI has raised $31 million from investors including Australia-headquartered Blackbird Ventures, while Japan-headquartered gaming company Gatcha Monsters has bagged $3 million in seed funding.

Leonardo.Ai has reportedly raised $31 million from investors including Australia-headquartered Blackbird Ventures and Side Stage Ventures as well as US-based Smash Capital and TIRTA Ventures.
According to TechCrunch’s Wednesday report, China’s Gaorong Capital and Samsung’s innovation arm Samsung Next were also investors.
Leonardo.Ai was founded last year by a team including CEO JJ Fiasson. The company provides an AI service for the creation of art assets catered to creative industries, including gaming, advertising, and architecture.
The new funding was said to be going towards growing the company’s sales and marketing team as well as its engineering team.
Gatcha Monsters raises seed funding from Animoca Brands
Gatcha Monsters, which describes itself as both an entertainment and gaming company, announced on Friday that it has raised $3 million in seed funding from Hong Kong-based game development company Animoca Brands.
The company said that it has also solidified strategic technology partnerships with NFT players such as Opensea and Open Loot.
Gatcha Monsters is led by co-founder and CEO Jia Shen, who previously worked on development of games such as Pokémon Medallion and Battle Cats.
The company released a trailer for its first title, named Poglin, on September 22 on X.
