AirConsole, a Zurich, Switzerland-based company which specializes in-car gaming platform, received a strategic investment from KPIT Technologies.
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds to provide more games in the near future, increase its footprint in the automotive industry.
Founded in 2015, AirConsole is a casual gaming platform for in-car entertainment. Its games are played using smartphones as controllers while playing games on a big screen, eliminating the need for additional hardware. It recently launched a partnership with the BMW Group globally, making their games available in millions of vehicles.
Over 18 million players have already played the AirConsole experience on TV and Web.
