CareerFairy, a Zurich, Switzerland-based video recruiting platform for Generation Z, received a seven digit million euro funding round.
The main investor was European media group Mediahuis with support from Swiss Post Ventures, Backbone Ventures as well as business angels from SICITIC, Start Angels and Business Angels Switzerland.
The new financing will be used to expand in the DACH region and the Benelux countries as well as to expand the product portfolio.
Founded in 2019 by Thomas Schulz and Maximilian Voss, CareerFairy specializes in the placement of university graduates using elements of social media and works with over 250 clients from various industries as well as over 230 universities and colleges. Its user interface is based on elements of social media (such as Instagram Reels and TikToks, but also Twitch streams) to bring traditional application processes into the current decade.
The company organizes virtual career events where companies give young talents an authentic insight into everyday life at the company and present their latest projects and work culture. In addition to strengthening companies’ employer branding, CareerFairy also offers an application process for the mass of young graduates. With its innovative concept, CareerFairy has already been voted Top Swiss Startup twice and is currently expanding into the German market.
The company now has offices in Zurich, Berlin, Utrecht and Lisbon and works with clients such as KPMG, Beiersdorf, L’Oréal and BMW Group.
