New Delhi: Tata Motors Group announced that its global wholesales in Q3 FY24 were 9% higher at 3,38,177 units compared to Q3 FY23. Its global wholesales included Jaguar Land Rover at 1,01,043 vehicles, higher by 27%.
Global wholesales of all Tata Motors commercial vehicles and the Tata Daewoo range in Q3 FY24 were at 98,679units, higher by 1% compared in Q3 FY23, the company said in a release.
Global wholesales of Tata Motors passenger vehicles in Q3 FY24 were at 138,455 units, higher by 5% as compared to Q3 FY23.
Jaguar wholesales for the quarter were 12,149 vehicles, while Land Rover wholesales for the quarter were 88,894 vehicles.
Tata Motors reported a 4% increase in its total domestic sales to 76,138 units in December 2023 compared to 72,997 units in the same month a year ago. Passenger vehicle (PV) sales, including electric vehicles, in the domestic market stood at 43,470 units last month as against 40,043 units in December 2022, up 9%, the company release said.
Total electric PV sales were at 5,006 units last month as against 3,868 units in December 2022, up 29%, it added.
Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd, said, “For Tata Motors, CY23 was the third consecutive year of posting highest-ever sales of around 5.53 lakh units, led by its commanding position in the compact SUV segment and strong growth in hatches, despite the hatch segment de-growing at an industry level.”
Tata Motors said its total commercial vehicles (CV) sales in December 2023 grew 1% to 34,180 units compared to 33,949 units in the year-ago period.
