Geely’s premium electric vehicle arm Zeekr launched test drives of its 007 sedan in Beijing on Thursday, saying that this model will blaze a trail in the competitive NEV market in China.
Its confidence comes from the model’s configurations and performance. The sedan offers two battery options of a 100 kilowatt-hours Qilin battery from CATL and a self-developed 75 kWh Golden Brick battery. The longest-range model can reach 870 kilometers on one charge. A 15-minute charge can extend the maximum range by up to 610 km.
The electric sedan comes standard with a full-stack 800-volt system, which boasts a peak output of up to 475 kW, a maximum torque of 710 Newton meters and can accelerate from 0-100 km per hour in 2.84 seconds.
Equipped with 31 perception components, including cameras, millimeter-wave radar and ultrasonic radar, paired with the Nvidia Drive Orin chip, the model has a computational power of up to 508 tera operations per second, which enables the intelligent driving system to make decisions more rapidly. It also allows intelligent parking and other driving-assist functions.
The EV startup announced cumulative deliveries of its vehicles reached 200,000 units on Monday. It only took 26 months to achieve the goal, the fastest among its rivals. The carmaker delivered 118,000 vehicles in 2023, up 65 percent year-on-year.
Zeekr has established 341 sales outlets nationwide. So far, the company has set up 432 Zeekr charging stations. By 2024, the number of its self-developed charging stations is expected to reach 1,000. By 2026, the projected number of charging piles is set to reach 10,000.
