Aquaculture platform AquaExchange raises $6m

AquaExchange, an aquaculture technology and fintech startup, has raised $6 million in a Series A funding round.

Ocean 14 Capital led the funding round while existing investors including Endiya Partners and Accion Venture Labs participated, according to a release.

AquaExchange plans to use the funding to scale adoption of its full-stack business model including farm automation, crop financing and harvest procurement. The company also plans to focus its efforts on a few international markets for device exports.

AquaExchange is a compelling investment choice in the evolving aquaculture landscape. The company’s advanced technologies enable increased farm profitability while providing relevant data for market intelligence and building robust credit models,” said Ramesh Byrapaneni, managing director of Endiya Partners.

Founded in 2020, AquaExchange is a marketplace mobile app for connecting Aqua farmers with aquaculture input providers like hatcheries, feeds, etc. and also aquaculture market research providers and consultants.

Web3 developer platform zbyte secures $5m

Web3 developer platform zbyte has raised $5 million from Cartography Capital, Quarterback Financial and other investors in a strategic funding round. The company plans to use the new capital to cater to developer communities and to organise hackathons.

Founded in 2022, zbyte acts as a bridge for developers to onboard, build, and deploy blockchain-enabled applications with familiar tools. The startup has created a new category in the blockchain ecosystem: the decentralised platform (dPlat).

dPlat supports multiple protocols, enabling dApp and digital asset portability across chains, enabling developers to build an application or asset once and deploy across multiple blockchains with a few clicks.
