StartupTN, the nodal agency for startups and entrepreneurship in TN, has set up two new sectoral forums to provide focused assistance to startups. StartupTN on Wednesday launched the Blue Economy (aquaculture) and Healthcare and Life Sciences Forum.
The organisation inked MoUs with Trivitron Group, Sathyabama Institute of Science & Technology and Indian Angel Network to enable Corporate-Startup connections for mentoring, product validation, testing, and incubation support.
It also kicked off Coral, a dedicated incubation cell for early-stage startups in the Blue Economy with potential seed investments and a mobile application to sell dry fish and value added products. The app is developed by Lemurian Ventures, one of Tamil Nadu SC/SC Startup Fund beneficiaries.
Sector-specific forums are intended to facilitate the connection between startups and mentors and will offer tailored support to startups within their respective sectors. The forums will host focused sessions, collaborations, and networking by involving the different stakeholders of the sectors.
The forums were launched by MSME secretary Archana Patnaik, Thyrocare founder Velumani Arockiaswamy and others in the presence of StartupTN CEO Sivarajah Ramanathan and other officials.
