Good Glamm co-founder Priyanka Gill to join Kalaari Capital

D2C company Good Glamm Group co-founder Priyanka Gill is stepping down from an active role at the company to join early-stage venture firm Kalaari Capital as a venture partner.

Good Glamm has also elevated Gill as the chairperson of Good Media Co, which runs the group’s digital media business, the company said in a statement.

Gill joined Good Glamm after her content community platform PopXo was acquired by it in 2020.

The firm said Gill’s move to a more strategic role was part of a planned transition over the last 12 months.

Lead Group names Arvind Singhal as chief growth officer

Edtech unicorn the Lead Group has announced the appointment of Arvind Singhal as chief growth officer (CGO) and Arpit Jain as chief financial officer (CFO).

Singhal will provide comprehensive direction to develop and implement Lead’s growth strategy to serve more schools and students across India, while Jain will spearhead the finance and legal functions of the group.

Most recently, Jain joined Lead Group from Marico, where he was CFO-digital business and head-mergers and acquisitions.

Former BYJU’s India CEO to launch education venture

Former India CEO and a founding member of embattled edtech firm BYJU’S, Mrinal Mohit, is set to launch an education venture, The Economic Times reported.

Mohit has registered his new venture, which could potentially compete with BYJU’S Tuition Centres (BTC), the offline tuition business launched in 2022, the report said, citing sources.

Mohit quit BYJU’S in September 2023 amid efforts at streamlining operations and reorganising sales. He was replaced by Arjun Mohan, a former student of BYJU’S founder Byju Raveendran.
