Two senior execs in CDPQ’s APAC infra team quit
Cyril Cabanes, the Singapore-based managing director of Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ)’s Asia-Pacific infrastructure division, has reportedly departed from the firm, according to Infrastructure Investor.
The resignation reportedly came around the same time as another senior executive Deepak Malhotra, who was the director of infrastructure operations, South Asia. Malhotra stepped down from his board positions in CDPQ’s investment portfolio, including Apraava Energy, Azure Energy, and Maple Highways.
The reason or connection between the departures are not known but are said to have happened several months ago.
The news comes after CDPQ announced last week that it is moving to integrate its real estate arms Ivanhoé Cambridge and Otéra Capital while retaining the respective brands. The integration commenced on Monday and will conclude within 18-24 months, according to a company statement.
