This year too, the Formula 1 MSC Cruises Grand Prix of Made in Italy and Emilia-Romagna will be the first grand prix to be held in Europe, scheduled from 17 to 19 May 2024 at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola.
An event deeply felt by Italian and non-Italian fans, especially since this year will also be characterized by a series of initiatives to remember Ayrton Senna, the three-time Brazilian world champion and Roland Ratzenberger, who passed away here thirty years ago.
The ticket sales campaign, which began as early as 4 December 2023 and which has so far provided satisfactory results, is enriched by another important moment with the possibility of purchasing prestigious seats in another five stands which are located in iconic and spectacular sectors such as Tosa, High variant and mineral waters.
La Tosa is an unmissable point for enthusiasts, the left turn which opens up towards an uphill straight brings to mind the Ferrari duel between Gilles Villeneuve and Didier Pironi in 1982. The peak deceleration occurs in the second section mentioned (around 5, 7G) for the Formula 1s, while the third corner mentioned is one of the most demanding braking sections of the Romagna circuit, where you go from over 280 km per hour to 120 in just a few seconds.
Another grandstand that is now on sale concerns the stretch characterized by the Villeneuve Variant, created to reduce the speed between the Tamburello and the Tosa. These are therefore very coveted places for the most demanding enthusiasts.
In detail, the stands that were put up for sale for a total of almost 17 thousand seats: Gresini – Variante Alta 4, Tribuna Acque Minerali 4 and 5, Tribuna Tosa 2 numbered and Tribuna Villeneuve 3 numbered.

“The return of Imola after a year of forced absence in the Formula 1 World Championship was welcomed with great enthusiasm by fans as can be seen from the promotional campaign which began before Christmas – comments Angelo Sticchi Damiani, president of the Automobile Club of Italy -: hence the desire to make other, prestigious grandstand seats available for the May race, which will constitute the first of the two Italian stages, convinced that it will be appreciated by those who want to attend this unmissable show live”.
“As a Region we strongly wanted the return of Formula 1 to Imola, a central event in the very rich calendar of sporting events in Emilia-Romagna – underlines Stefano Bonaccini, president of the Emilia-Romagna Region – This year the Grand Prix is enriched with further profound meanings: the memory of a much-loved champion like Ayrton Senna and a strong sign of a restart in Romagna hit by the flood”.
“We are working, with even more passion, so that the Grand Prix in Imola is a great moment of restart and relaunch for the whole of Emilia-Romagna after the floods of 2023, which led to the cancellation of that edition – declares Marco Panieri, mayor of Imola -. We are ready to stage a great event, which can welcome in the best possible way the flood of enthusiasts who love our circuit. We want it to be a celebration of pride and promotion for all Made in Italy, Emilia-Romagna and Imola. For this reason, we will continue with the planned investments in the facility and will prepare a rich calendar of collateral events, also in the historic centre, keeping the memory of Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger alive, 30 years after their passing”.
