The sixth national conference on traffic technologies was inaugurated at the Central Academy for Police Training (CAPT) in Bhopal with Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D). Dr Subroto Das, founder of Life Line Foundation was the chief guest of the inaugural ceremony.

As a premier institution mandated to train police, prosecution, prison service, and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) officers from across the country, CAPT Bhopal is at the forefront of promoting excellence in law enforcement practices.

The ministry of home affairs has established the National Centre for Traffic Technologies at CAPT Bhopal, to foster the development and adoption of cutting-edge traffic management systems and advanced technologies.

Through various training initiatives and conferences, the Centre seeks to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of traffic management nationwide. The two-day national conference serves as a crucial platform for key stakeholders in the traffic domain to convene and deliberate on a diverse array of issues.

With a focus on road engineering, education, enforcement, and emergency response systems, the conference will provide participants with a forum to exchange insights, share best practices, and explore innovative solutions.

The overarching theme of the conference, “Road Map to Vision Zero Death,” underscores the collective commitment to eliminating fatalities and ensuring road safety for all. Policymakers, police officers, scholars, researchers, academicians, professionals, students, and representatives from non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are invited to contribute to the discourse by presenting their research papers on topics aligned with the conference agenda.
