InSolare, a renewable energy solutions firm, has secured around $8 million in a funding round while Peak XV has launched the third cohort of Spark, its fellowship programme for female founders. Separately, Mokobara has raised $12 million in a Series B funding round.
InSolare raises around $8m
Renewable energy solutions firm InSolare has secured around $8 million in a funding round led by Negen Capital, it said in a press release.
Anchorage Capital Fund, Khazana Tradelink and several prominent individual investors participated in the funding, according to a release.
“We believe in the invertibility of Insolare’s technology-driven approach and its potential to revolutionize the renewable energy sector. This partnership aligns with our commitment to supporting innovative companies that are driving positive change and sustainability,” said Negen Capital CEO Neil Bahal.
Founded in 2009, InSolare installs rooftop solar projects, carports, and canal-based and solar-wind hybrid projects.
Peak XV launches Spark 03
Peak XV has launched the third cohort of Spark, its fellowship programme for female founders, with 14 companies and 16 female founders.
This cohort includes four companies building AI solutions in travel, fraud detection, wholesale trade and e-commerce. Four other startups are focused on healthcare while the remaining companies are building SaaS, B2B and consumer businesses, per a release.
The Spark Fellowship is a four-month-long programme that includes a $100,000 equity-free grant, open to all female founders who are in the early stages of starting up.
In less than three years, Spark’s community includes three cohorts, 48 founders and 41 startups across 10+ sectors.
Mokobara bags $12m
Luggage manufacturer Mokobara has raised $12 million in a Series B funding round led by Peak XV Partners, reported The Economic Times.
Existing investors Sauce VC and Saama Capital also participated in the funding round, which values the company at $80 million, added the report.
Founded in 2019, Mokobara designs and manufactures suitcase bags, travel bags, duffels, and backpacks. The company had raised $6.5 million in 2022 in its Series A funding.
