@BLOOMBERG –
Classic car sales in Florida this weekend reached $181.67 million, exceeding the previous record of $178 million set in 2023. This year’s auctions were spread between Amelia Island and Miami, with the top seller being a 1903 Mercedes-Simplex 60 HP Roi Des Belges that sold for $12.1 million.
While the total sales figures were strong, the average price per car sold and the sell-through rate were down compared to 2023. This suggests a slight cooling in the classic car market. However, some experts believe the split locations had little impact on sales, and there were still many positive signs, such as increased attendance at related events.
