TOKYO — Hyundai Motor plans to roll out electric buses in the Japanese market this fall, the head of the local unit of the South Korean automaker told Nikkei, aiming to serve the transportation and tourism needs of communities outside urban centers.
The South Korean automaker will release the Elec City Town all-electric bus, Cho Won Sang, president of Hyundai Mobility Japan, said in an interview. The 9-meter long, midsized bus will have a driving range of 220 kilometers per charge.
