True Global Ventures has appointed Beatrice Lion as the new CEO, while Golden Gate Ventures has named partner Angela Toy as its COO.
True Global Ventures appoints Beatrice Lion as CEO
True Global Ventures (TGV), a Singapore-based venture capital firm, has appointed Beatrice Lion as the new chief executive officer, according to an announcement.
Lion joined Innovator Founders Capital (IFC) 1,2,3, formerly known as True Global Ventures 1,2,3, in 2017 and primarily focused on the business development of its portfolio companies. Her efforts led to four successful positive exits in IFC’s portfolio, a press release stated.
Her efforts also helped close the $113-million TGV 4 Plus Base Fund in 2021, followed by $146-million first close of the Opportunity Fund in June 2022.
TGV has also appointed Frank Desvignes and Kelly Choo as executive directors.
Golden Gate Ventures names Angela Toy as COO
Golden Gate Ventures has announced the appointment of partner Angela Toy as its chief operating officer (COO).
In this new role, Toy, who is also partner for portfolio growth at Golden Gate Ventures, will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, supporting the firm’s expansion initiatives, and fortifying its corporate structure, according to the announcement.
Toy, who was promoted to partner in mid-2021, has played a pivotal role in driving portfolio growth and recently appointed to various boards due to her extensive business operations knowledge.
