Maruti Suzuki India today announced major changes at its senior management level, which includes the transfer of Head of Engineering CV Raman and Head of Sales & Marketing Shashank Srivastava to the Member Executive Committee. The changes are effective from April 1.
Tarun Aggarwal, who is currently an executive officer and head of powertrain vertical at Maruti Suzuki, will succeed CV Raman as the company’s head of engineering. Partho Banerjee, who is currently Maruti Suzuki’s head of services, will replace Shashank Srivastava as the head of marketing and sales.
Maruti Suzuki’s Head of HR and IT Rajesh Uppal will also be transferred to the Member Executive Committee. He will be replaced by Manoj Gautam, who is currently the executive vice president in the IT vertical.
Sandeep Raina, the executive vice president and head of product development and cost & program management, will now become the head of product planning, while the current executive officer in the marketing vertical Ram Suresh Akella will assume the role of head of service. Salil B Lal has also been moved to the role of head of HR from his current role of executive vice president in the HR vertical.
Meanwhile, Sunil Kakkar will be transferred as the head of corporate planning from his role as the head of supply chain as Rahul Bharti, who is currently the head of corporate planning, will assume the role of head of corporate affairs. Deepak Thukral will be the new head of Maruti Suzuki’s supply chain vertical.
All these executives have been working with India’s largest passenger vehicle maker for more than a decade. Maruti Suzuki’s board has approved these changes today.
