Today in Las Vegas, rental cars are being delivered to customers, with no drivers in the cars – they’re piloted to customers’ doors remotely. This is just one way that car rental is adopting technology in the new mobility landscape.
The 2024 International Car Rental Show’s closing keynote session will explore this new business model and others including ride-sharing services, electric vehicles, and semi-autonomous cars.
As car rental continues to adopt advanced technology, the collaboration and competition between traditional car rental operators, auto manufacturers, platform providers, and local dealerships and auto groups has become more dynamic than ever.
This keynote session features a panel of experts from various mobility areas. They will discuss the evolution of the modern traveler, the power of platforms, and the rise of EV and autonomous vehicles. Additionally, they will explore how traditional car rental is adapting to the changes.
The panel consists of Brian Finkelmeyer, Cox Automotive’s senior director of enterprise insights and advisory; Cass Mao, chief strategy officer at Halo.car; and Olivier Baldassari, Europcar’s managing director of USA, Australia & New Zealand.
The “Redefining Mobility” closing keynote session will be moderated by Ken Stellon, partner and executive vice president of Frontline Performance Group. He has hands-on travel, automotive, and mobility experience with leading brands, such as Hertz, Avis Budget Group, Sixt, Turo, and Europcar Mobility Group.
The International Car Rental Show will be held April 15-17, 2024, at Horseshoe Las Vegas. Registration is open.
