MSEDCL’s all electric vehicle charging stations will soon run on solar power.
The electricity to operate them would be generated through solar power stations in the same area, a statement from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) said.
Confirming the development, Rajendra Pawar, the chief engineer of MSEDCL’s Pune circle, said, “MSEDCL is working on a proposal to power all EV charging stations operated by the company in the Pune circle on solar power.
“The company will eventually shift all 18 charging stations to solar power,” Rajendra Pawar added.
The company will soon commission one such solar power-operated charging station on its Ganeshkhind office premises.
