Gojek Singapore, ComfortDelGro Taxi launch partnership

Gojek Singapore and ComfortDelGro Taxi, the largest taxi operator in Singapore, have officially launched a partnership, building on a prior agreement to jointly address challenges in the transport industry.

In a joint statement on Tuesday, the companies said that a key feature of this partnership is a cross-dispatch model which allows unclaimed jobs from one platform to be offered to the other, increasing work opportunities for drivers without requiring them to download additional apps.

The partnership will roll out on April 29, 2024, starting with Gojek’s unbooked rides via their GoCar service being available to ComfortDelGro drivers. A subsequent phase will allow Gojek drivers to pick up rides unclaimed by ComfortDelGro drivers, with details to be announced later.

For customers, this new model promises more reliable service and shorter wait times without any increase in fares. The companies said that future initiatives will include projects related to electric vehicle and ancillary revenue opportunities as well as support solutions such as insurance, driver training, and vehicle maintenance.
