Gensol Engineering appoints Rajesh Jain as Independent Director

New Delhi: Gensol Engineering Limited, a key player in solar power engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services and electric mobility solutions, announced the appointment of Rajesh Jain as an independent director to its board.

Rajesh Jain, who recently retired as a senior partner at Walker Chandiok & Co LLP after over 20 years of service, brings more than 45 years of professional experience. He is currently a member of the Governance Council and Chairman of the Audit Committee at the Shiv Nadar Foundation. Jain’s career includes senior management positions across India, Malawi, and Zambia. He was a founding partner for KPMG in India and played a pivotal role in its growth across India and Africa, dedicating over 24 years to the firm. Before KPMG, he worked with BDO and E&Y in India.

Jain’s expertise spans Indian and international auditing, mergers and acquisitions advisory, corporate governance, IPOs, and accounting advisory. His industry exposure includes information technology, automobiles, energy, FMCG, banking and finance, real estate, hospitality, and the social sector.

Jain is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a former charter member of TiE. He has been an angel investor in startups and is actively involved in corporate social responsibility, including extensive grant audit and consulting work with NGOs such as the Gates Foundation, Smile Train, and CARE.
