New Delhi: Dr. Claus Gorsmann is set to join Vikas Group‘s Ecocat division as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) on May 20, 2024. With a robust background in industrial technology and strategic management, Dr. Gorsmann is expected to significantly enhance the division’s technological capabilities.
Dr. Gorsmann’s career spans over two decades, during which he has held several key positions. Recently, he has been working as an Industrial Associate at IfM Engage in Cambridge, England, focusing on various freelance projects. Additionally, he founded CFGTec, a consultancy for technological strategies, operating remotely from Royston, England since July 2023.
Before his freelance and entrepreneurial activities, Dr. Gorsmann had a notable 26-year tenure at Johnson Matthey, a leader in sustainable technologies. His roles there included Technology Strategy Manager, HDD Non-Road and Retrofit Technology Manager, and Technical Manager for HDD Retrofit Europe, demonstrating his extensive experience in technological innovation and environmental solutions.
Dr. Gorsmann’s earned a Doctorate in Inorganic Chemistry, Silica Chemistry, and Material Science from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg, where he also conducted research in collaboration with Degussa AG. Furthermore, he recently completed a course on Business and Climate Change: Towards Net Zero Emissions from the University of Cambridge, highlighting his commitment to sustainability.
