New Delhi: Hubject, one of the leaders in EV interoperability, has formed a strategic partnership with Exicom, an EV charger manufacturer. Together, they aim to leverage Hubject’s innovative technology to enhance the EV charging experience in India. This partnership intends to simplify the process for EV drivers to locate and use charging points more efficiently.
The collaboration will focus on Hubject’s Plug&Charge platform. This initiative will create a regional hub in India to enable world-class technology and support local charge point operators according to ISO15118 standards. The goal is to introduce fully automated charging capabilities, establishing the first Plug&Charge standard in India, positioning the country as a regional leader in this technology, the company said.
With this new standard, EV drivers in India can expect to connect their vehicles to compatible charge points and start charging instantly using automatic EV-to-charging station authentication. This innovative approach eliminates the need for apps or RFID cards, streamlining the charging process.

Hubject’s interoperability technology simplifies the charging process for drivers. It allows EV users to locate, access, and pay for charging services through their preferred interface, regardless of the operator. This technology removes the need for multiple memberships and payment methods, making the entire process more user-friendly.
With this system, drivers can seamlessly move between different charge point operators, much like mobile phone users switch between networks. The ultimate goal is to make EV charging as straightforward as refueling a traditional car with fossil fuels.
