New Delhi: Bajaj Auto reported a 5% year-on-year increase in total vehicle wholesales, including exports, reaching 3,58,477 units in June. This marks a rise from the 3,40,981 two-wheelers and commercial vehicles sold in June 2022.
Domestic sales, including commercial vehicles, saw an 8% increase, with 2,16,451 units sold last month compared to 1,99,983 in the same month last year.
Exports also experienced growth, with a 1% increase, reaching 1,42,026 units compared to 1,40,998 vehicles in the year-ago period.
Shares of Bajaj Auto were trading 1.06% higher at INR 9,600 apiece on the BSE.
Bajaj Auto reported a decrease of a percent to 225,087 units in May 2024 domestic sales, compared to 228,401 units in May 2023. On the export front, Bajaj Auto saw a 3% growth, reporting 130,236 units shipped to international markets in May 2024, compared to 126,747 units exported in the corresponding period of the previous year.
