Porsche India has announced today that it has experienced 40 percent growth in sales during the first half of 2024, compared to the same period last year. With 489 cars and SUVs sold, the German performance brand recorded its best-ever sales in the country.
Porsche says its SUV portfolio, consisting of the Macan and Cayenne, contributed 306 units of the total 489. This accounted for nearly 63 percent of the company’s sales. In addition, 93 units of the 911 were sold during the first half of this year. The Taycan, Panamera and 718 models accounted for the remaining 90 units sold by the brand.
The German brand joins other luxury carmakers in posting impressive growth, despite a slowdown seen in mass market segments.
Having recently announced prices for the Panamera GTS and the 911 facelift (which gets a hybrid powertrain for the first time), Porsche plans to deliver these models, including the Cayenne GTS, from the fourth quarter of 2024. In addition, deliveries for the all-electric Macan and the Taycan facelift, both of which launched this year, are planned to begin early next year.
