Acko General Insurance has acquired digital chronic care management company OneCare in an all-cash transaction. In a separate development, seafood supplier Captain Fresh has acquired Koral, a Polish producer and distributor of branded salmon products.
Acko General Insurance buys OneCare
Multiples Private Equity-backed Acko General Insurance has acquired digital chronic care management company OneCare in an all-cash transaction. OneCare co-founders Dr. Rakesh Shivran and Sagar Bhat will be joining the leadership team of Acko.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Acko said the acquisition will help build a healthcare ecosystem to address customer’s health insurance needs, from protection to prevention to care and recovery.
OneCare provides advanced wearables, and data-driven insights, and follows an omnichannel approach with both physical clinics and virtual care teams.
Captain Fresh acquires Poland’s Koral
Tiger Global-backed seafood supplier Captain Fresh has acquired Koral, a Poland-based producer and distributor of branded salmon products.
“This acquisition is a strategic milestone in our mission to become the leading tech-enabled multi-species, multi-origin global seafood conglomerate,” said Captain Fresh CEO Utham Gowda in a statement.
“The European market is one of the most exciting value-added product opportunities in seafood globally. Koral augments our earlier acquisition of France-based Senecrus, adding marquee Polish and German retailer brands to our portfolio of offerings,” he added.
Founded by Boguslaw Kowalski, the Polish firm is backed by private equity firm Abris Capital. According to Captain Fresh, Boguslaw Kowalski and Koral’s board member Justyna Frankowska will lead its global salmon strategy.
