@Ford: Mustang Mach-E Performance Upgrade Now Available

Media recently got to experience the all-new Lincoln Nautilus and our new Lincoln Digital Experience. I’m excited to see their reviews later this week. The panoramic display and center touchscreen are beautiful and play a major role in the new interior and digital UX, so it’s naturally one of the first things people notice. In the past, screens were an interface to replace physical buttons, but now the most important benefit of displays is what they enable you to do. I was reminded of something Doug Field recently said about his time at Apple. He was describing the software behind those displays and I think his quote below does a good job of helping you think about the power of software. Speaking of Apple, this year marks the 40th anniversary of Steve Jobs releasing the Macintosh and I’ve been re-reading the book “Make Something Wonderful.” https://lnkd.in/emsiJmKn If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend checking it out. No matter what you do, I think you’ll find something relevant to your work or life. I’ve been thinking of that book and Doug’s reflection below often as we develop our Ford digital products. Just as Ford Motor Company takes pride in designing beautiful and iconic vehicles, we’re now creating wonderfully beautiful software experiences for our Ford and Lincoln customers, as well. As our industry becomes more and more tech-driven, I’m grateful for Doug & the incredible team we have leading the way!
