STATEMENTS

José López-Tafall, general director of ANFAC, indicated that “the continuity of the MOVES Plan was necessary news, but for the moment it has not obtained the expected result. In the last month, the electrified market has fallen 4%. A figure that has caused the electric and plug-in hybrid market to remain stagnant at a 10% share of the general market and that could have fallen much more without the MOVES announcement until the end of the year. We hope that this trend improves in the coming months, since the uncertainty about the future of MOVES and about the existence of the additional deduction of up to €3,000, both measures that expire at the end of December, should boost demand now. And the fact is that we are still at a figure lower than what we should be registering and which places us very far from the 20% average that enroll in Europe. From the sector we continue to insist that aid is necessary, but so are other measures such as the development of the public access charging network and a tax policy that serves as a powerful purchase incentive, both for companies and individuals. All these positive messages must serve to ensure that the mentality of the Spanish citizen sees the electrified vehicle as their next purchase option when they approach a dealership.”
