New MINI Cooper to come with Apollo Tyres’ Vredestein range in Europe

Apollo Tyres Ltd has announced that BMW Group has chosen Vredestein tyres as original equipment for the new MINI Cooper range in Europe. The agreement covers summer, all-season, and winter tyre options for the Cabrio, three-door, and five-door variants of the MINI Cooper.

The selected tyres include the Vredestein Ultrac for summer use, the Quatrac Pro for all-season requirements, and the Wintrac Pro for winter conditions. These tyres will be manufactured in Europe and supplied to BMW Group’s MINI production facility in Oxford, UK.

This arrangement expands on previous agreements between Apollo Tyres Ltd and BMW Group, which included supplying Vredestein Ultrac tyres for other BMW models such as the X1, X2, 5 Series, and 2 Series Active Tourer.

The tyres will also be available in the replacement market through BMW Group’s franchised dealers to support MINI customers throughout their vehicle ownership.

Benoit Rivallant, Chief Commercial Officer of Apollo Tyres Ltd, commented on the agreement, noting that it reflects the company’s focus on creating tyres with diverse capabilities that align with BMW Group’s priorities.

The Vredestein Ultrac, Wintrac Pro, and Quatrac Pro tyres each offer specific performance characteristics. The Ultrac provides wet grip performance, the Wintrac Pro is designed for winter conditions, and the Quatrac Pro is an all-season tyre developed for high-performance vehicles.

These tyres have received various certifications and ratings, including EU tyre label ratings and independent test awards from European publications.
