Škoda India launches Slavia Monte Carlo and Sportline Editions with Rs 30,000 offer

Škoda Auto India has launched the Slavia Monte Carlo edition to commemorate the 112th anniversary of the company’s debut at Rallye Monte Carlo. Alongside, the company has introduced a new Sportline range for both the Kushaq and Slavia models, broadening its offerings in the Indian market. To mark the occasion, Škoda is offering benefits of ₹30,000 for the first 5,000 customers who book any of these models by September 6, 2024.

The Slavia Monte Carlo edition is equipped with either a 1.0 TSI engine, available with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, or a 1.5 TSI engine paired with a seven-speed DSG. The Monte Carlo edition is offered in Tornado Red and Candy White, both featuring a contrasting Deep Black roof. The exterior design includes blacked-out elements such as the radiator grille surround, fog lamp garnish, and R16 alloy wheels, along with Monte Carlo badging on the front fenders and darkened taillights. Additional features include black spoilers, a rear diffuser, and dark chrome door handles.

Inside, the Slavia Monte Carlo continues the sporty theme with an all-black interior highlighted by red accents. The dashboard, center console, and other interior elements feature black décor, while the Monte Carlo leatherette seats are bordered with red stitching. The cabin also includes a two-spoke steering wheel with red stitching, sporty aluminum pedals, and a Monte Carlo-inscribed scuff plate by the front doors.

In addition to the Slavia Monte Carlo, Škoda Auto India has introduced the Sportline trims for both the Kushaq and Slavia models. These trims incorporate several design elements from the Monte Carlo edition, such as blacked-out taillights and an aero kit, while offering LED headlamps, R16 or R17 black alloy wheels, and various interior enhancements. Standard features across the Sportline range include six airbags, an electric sunroof, alloy foot pedals, rain-sensing wipers, and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror.

Commenting on the new introductions, Petr Janeba, Brand Director of Škoda Auto India, emphasized that the Monte Carlo badge reflects the brand’s rich motorsport heritage and is aimed at customers who appreciate sporty aesthetics. He also noted that the Sportline trims offer a similar sporty appeal at a more accessible price point.

The introduction of the Slavia Monte Carlo and Sportline trims is part of Škoda’s ongoing strategy to expand its product portfolio in India. The Slavia Monte Carlo is the third Škoda model in India to carry the Monte Carlo badge, following the Rapid and the Kushaq. The new variants are expected to appeal to customers seeking a combination of sporty design, advanced features, and enhanced safety. Both the Kushaq and Slavia have a 5-star safety rating for adult and child protection under Global NCAP, reinforcing Škoda’s commitment to safety across its range.

The Monte Carlo editions have historically embodied Škoda’s victories at the Rallye Monte Carlo, with the first model bearing the badge launched in 2017 with the Rapid in India. The current Slavia Monte Carlo continues this legacy, celebrating Škoda’s longstanding association with motorsport.
