BMW will incorporate SCR catalytic converter with AdBlue in its diesel models from spring

MUNICH (GERMANY), Jan. 17 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The German automaker BMW has announced that next spring it intends to incorporate the SCR catalytic converter with AdBlue injection as standard equipment for its diesel models, the company said in a statement.

BMW pointed out that BluePerformance technology with AdBlue will be standard for the diesel versions of the Series 1, Series 2, Series 3 and Series 4 models from spring. The signature indicated that, in the case of the X1 xDrive 18d and X1 sDrive 18d, A dual exhaust system will also be introduced.

On the other hand, starting next March, the gasoline models of the Munich company will also mount a particulate filter that will improve the control of emissions, after this measure was already introduced in July 2017 in some models.

Similarly, the car company announced that it will add a four-cylinder diesel engine to the range of the X3 SUV and that the eight-speed Steptronic gearbox will be added to the Series 3 and Series 4 offerings.
