Honda, new member of the employers’ association of European manufacturers ACEA

BRUSSELS, Jan. 17 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Japanese car company Honda, through its European division Honda Motor Europe, has become a new member of the Association of European Automobile Manufacturers (ACEA), the organization said in a statement.

The entry of Honda into ACEA occurs after the approval of the association’s board that took place last December. In this way, the Japanese company becomes a member of the organization since January 1.

With the entry of Honda, ACEA now has a total of fifteen members, including both vehicle manufacturers, commercial vehicles, industrial vehicles and buses.

In this way, the partners of this association, together with Honda, are BMW Group, DAF Trucks, Daimler, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford Europe, Hyundai Motor Europe, Iveco, Jaguar Land Rover, PSA Group, Renault, Toyota Motor Europe, Volkswagen Group, Volvo Cars and Volvo Group.

HONDA IN SPAIN.

On the other hand, sources of Honda Motor Europe Spain consulted by Europa Press indicated that the decision of the European division of the company is “very recent” and pointed to the Spanish subsidiary will have to value it “locally”.

So they responded in relation to the possibility that Honda Motor Europe Spain integrates into the Spanish Association of Automobile Manufacturers and Trucks (ANFAC), as they did in previous years other Japanese companies such as Toyota, Mazda, Subaru or Mitsubishi.

Honda Motor Europe Spain is currently a partner of the National Association of Importers of Automobiles, Trucks, Buses and Motorcycles (Aniacam).
