EKA Mobility (Pinnacle Mobility Solutions Pvt. Ltd.), an electric vehicle manufacturer and subsidiary of Pinnacle Industries, has announced the supply of EKA 9 electric buses to Skyline Motors (India) Private Limited for deployment in Uttarakhand.
The electric buses are now operating on the Dehradun-Rishikesh route via Haridwar, covering a daily distance of 300 kilometers. These buses aim to support Uttarakhand’s green transportation goals by providing an efficient, environmentally friendly commute between the three cities. The initiative is intended to reduce carbon emissions and offer a reliable and cost-effective transit solution.
Rohit Srivastava, Chief Growth Officer of EKA Mobility, stated that the partnership aligns with Uttarakhand’s ambition to enhance sustainable transport. He emphasized that EKA’s electric buses are designed to offer energy-efficient, emission-free travel for commuters, while being cost-effective for operators.
The EKA 9 buses are equipped with technology aimed at improving passenger safety and reducing carbon emissions. The 9-meter AC bus has a seating capacity of 35+1, a floor height of 900 mm, and is powered by a 200 kW battery for an energy-efficient journey.
Anil Dixit, Managing Director of Skyline Motors, remarked that the collaboration introduces a green alternative for intercity public transport in Uttarakhand. He highlighted the buses’ 300-kilometer daily range and their potential to improve regional connectivity.
