Renault Nissan Technology & Business Centre India Private Limited (Renault Nissan Tech) has inaugurated a new workspace in Chennai to accommodate an additional 2,000 employees. The expansion is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to support Renault and Nissan with innovative mobility solutions globally.
The new office space, located at the company’s headquarters in Ascendas IT Park, Mahindra World City SEZ, was virtually inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M.K. Stalin, during the Tamil Nadu Investment Conclave 2024. The event, held at The Leela Palace in Chennai, also featured participation from senior executives, including Akira Hanzawa, Senior Vice President of Nissan Engineering & Costing, and Eva James, Vice President of Global Service Delivery & Global Hub at Renault Nissan Tech.
Covering an area of 1.38 lakh sq. ft., the new workspace offers a modern, open-plan design aimed at promoting collaboration and productivity. The facility includes meeting rooms and a work café to encourage both formal and informal interactions among employees.
Debashis Neogi, Managing Director of Renault Nissan Tech, highlighted that the centre plays a key role in driving value creation for Renault and Nissan, with a focus on areas such as simulation, after-sales engineering, software validation, artificial intelligence, and cloud migration. He also noted the company’s emphasis on attracting top talent in deep tech fields as part of its goal to become the largest automotive technology Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Global Capability Centre in India.
The new workspace is intended to support Renault Nissan Tech’s growth, fostering a more agile and innovative working environment.
