River joins Bengaluru FC as official EV partner

Bengaluru-based electric vehicle manufacturer, River, has announced a partnership with Bengaluru Football Club (BFC), becoming the club’s official electric vehicle (EV) partner. The collaboration brings together two local brands known for their shared values of drive, ambition, and a commitment to sustainability.

The partnership aims to raise awareness about environmentally friendly transport options, aligning with BFC’s ongoing efforts towards sustainability, as seen in their ‘For the Planet’ campaign.

Aravind Mani, Co-Founder and CEO of River, highlighted the natural synergy between the two organisations, stating, “As a brand born in Bengaluru, partnering with BFC feels like a natural fit. Many of our team members are football enthusiasts who admire and follow Bengaluru FC. We hope to inspire people to push boundaries and strive for success. We’re excited to start this partnership and pursue greatness together.”

Darren Caldeira, Director of Football at BFC, emphasised the club’s commitment to sustainability, saying, “Our focus on environmentally friendly practices has seen us take several steps over the years, and the partnership with River is a big step in that direction. Reducing emissions is crucial, and River is leading the way in the mobility sector. We’re looking forward to what this association will bring.”

As part of the partnership, River will engage with Bengaluru FC’s fanbase through promotional activities at Kanteerava Stadium during the 2024 Indian Super League season. The company will showcase its utility-lifestyle electric two-wheeler, the Indie, described as the “SUV of Scooters.” This collaboration will also provide fans with interactive consumer experiences aimed at combining the excitement of football with sustainable mobility.

Bengaluru FC’s pursuit of excellence reflects River’s mission to empower individuals to work hard, dream big, and achieve their goals. The partnership highlights both brands’ focus on innovation, performance, and sustainability.
