US EV charging-management platform AMPECO is collaborating with Canada-headquartered ChargeHub, an EV charging app and roaming interoperability hub developer, to give charging providers using the AMPECO platform access to more than 100,000 charging stations through ChargeHub’s Passport Hub roaming service.
Passport Hub currently covers more than two-thirds of networked (CCS and J1772) chargers in the US and Canada, according to the company.
The partnership offers CPOs increased visibility of their chargers to users of ChargeHub platforms. It also makes it possible for businesses to integrate point of interest (POI) data into their websites, applications and infotainment systems, as well as simplified monthly payment reconciliation. EV drivers will have access to an increasing number of chargers and a seamless payment process through a single account of their choice.
“As we observe the multiplication of charging networks and the growth of OEMs and fleets in the EV space, the need for streamlined e-roaming solutions is becoming critical,” said Francis De Broux, COO of ChargeHub. “Our partnership with AMPECO will allow more CPOs and eMSPs access to integrated solutions that simplify station management and seamlessly add EV roaming capabilities.”
