Uber has partnered with the Indian Air Force to provide mobility solutions for the official travel and commute of Air Force personnel, veterans, and their families. The collaboration is aimed at offering reliable, convenient, and safe transportation across the country.
Through this partnership, the Indian Air Force will utilise Uber for Business, a platform designed to customise Uber’s services for organisations, streamlining travel processes. This initiative aims to digitise commuting and improve travel efficiency for Air Force personnel, with enterprise benefits tailored to the needs of the organisation.
The agreement was formalised at a ceremony attended by Air Marshal RK Anand, VSM, AOA, and other senior officials. The memorandum of understanding was signed by AVM Updesh Sharma, VSM, ACAS (Accts & AV), and Abhinav Mittoo, Senior Country General Manager for Uber.
Uber’s statement highlighted the significance of the partnership in supporting the Indian Air Force’s efforts towards digitalisation and efficient mobility solutions, aligning with the organisation’s broader vision of leveraging technology for improvement in services. The program is expected to offer cost efficiencies and improved rider experiences.
