JSW MG Motor India launches AI chatbots for customer engagement

JSW MG Motor India, in collaboration with Google Cloud India, has announced the launch of two AI chatbots, Avira and Vir. Developed using Google Cloud’s AI technology in partnership with Riafy, these digital assistants aim to improve customer interactions and services.

The chatbots, powered by Google Cloud’s PaLM 2 technology, will be accessible through various platforms, including the MG website, WhatsApp, EVPEDIA website, and EVPEDIA WhatsApp.

This initiative is part of JSW MG Motor India’s broader strategy to use AI to improve customer satisfaction. The introduction of these chatbots is expected to impact operational efficiency, customer experiences, and sales, while also providing insights into customer interactions. Their functionality allows for personalised responses based on customer preferences and history, facilitating real-time support and overall satisfaction. With multilingual capabilities, the chatbots are designed to engage in dynamic conversations and adapt over time through learning from customer interactions.

Satinder Singh Bajwa, Chief Commercial Officer of JSW MG Motor India, commented on the launch, stating the company aims to redefine customer engagement and operational effectiveness through technology.

Avira is focused on enhancing the car-buying journey by providing customers with interactive and personalized assistance. It is accessible via text and voice on the JSW MG Motor India website and WhatsApp, helping customers with inquiries about their vehicles and resolving queries effectively.

Vir is designed to empower customers with information about electric vehicles. Available through the EVPEDIA website and WhatsApp, Vir serves as a resource for educating customers about the EV landscape, providing insights that assist in making informed decisions.

MG’s approach is further supported by technology, including MG Xpert, MG Epay, MG VPhy NFT, and MGVerse. The growth of smartphone usage and AI integration has pushed JSW MG to adopt innovations like chatbots and the MG Metaverse.
