Having an alternative power source ready for sudden outages or extended off-grid adventures is never a bad idea. Thankfully, the Anker Solix C300X DC Portable Power Stationis a neat, affordable option that loads you up with enough power and USB ports to charge several devices concurrently. And right now, Wellbots is offering it to Verge readers for $148 (about $52 off) with promo code VERGEANKER26.
To be clear, this particular version excludes the three AC ports offered on the more expensive Solix C300. That said, it’s a viable alternative if you don’t anticipate plugging in hardware with AC plugs. It offers the same 90,000mAh (288Wh) capacity and spreads up to 300W of power across four total USB-C ports (two deliver up to 140W, one up to 100W, and another up to 15W) and two USB-A ports.
You also have several charging options, including a 120W car socket, a 100W solar input, and one of its two USB-C 3.1 Power Delivery ports. Anker says that you can charge it up to 80 percent within an hour if you use the two USB-C ports concurrently. You can check power and charging statuses on the integrated display, too, or using Anker’s app. It’s a hefty carry at just over six pounds, but it’s shaped a bit like a handheld lamp with an integrated carrying handle and a top-mounted LED to help light your path.
Anker’s versatile Solix C300 DC offers six total USB ports, a car charger port, and solar input. The portable power station is ideal for travel, as it’s relatively light for its 90,000mAh capacity and features an integrated handle.

A few more deals to kick off the week
- Now through October 31st, Mario vs. Donkey Kong is on sale at Woot for $39.99 ($10 off). The Nintendo Switch title is a remake of the Game Boy Advance classic with a hilariously petty premise, one in which you collect keys and jump your way through various side-scrolling puzzles to retrieve a cache of stolen wind-up dolls from Donkey Kong. Needless to say, it’s a fun sidetrack if you haven’t already settled the rivalry in rounds of Super Smash Bros.
- Resident Evil 4 fell to a new low price at Amazon last week, and now it’s even cheaper at Target. Right now, you can get it there for $19.99 ($10 off) for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S (Amazon has the PS5 version for the same price). The 2023 remake offers newcomers and long-time fans alike plenty of reasons to explore a compound filled with bloodthirsty villagers (again), as it’s been modernized with new graphics, gameplay mechanics, and other key changes that enhance one of the series’ most beloved titles.
- Now through October 25th, Woot is selling Apple’s official iPhone 16 Case with MagSafe for the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max for $24.99 ($24 off) with code APPLEWELCOME. They come in several colors depending on the model, including a clear polycarbonate version and a silicone version that comes in black, fuchsia, green, ultramarine, and denim. Apple’s iPhone 16 cases also support passthrough capacitive touch, unlike many cheaper cases from third-party brands, meaning they provide easy access to the Camera Control button without a cutout.
