Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd (Sona Comstar) has reported a 16% on-year growth in its net profit for the second quarter of financial year 2025 with a 17% increase in its revenue from operations.
The Gurugram-based auto components maker clocked Rs 143.94 crore as consolidated net profit, against Rs 123.85 crore in the year-ago quarter. Revenue from operations rose to Rs 922.19 crore from Rs 787.47 crore.
Sona Comstar’s operating profit, or Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA), grew 14.6% to Rs 252.01 crore while its operating profit margin contracted marginally to 27.3% from 27.9% in the year-ago quarter.
The Gurugram-based company manufactures components such as differential assemblies, differential gears, starter motors, BSG systems, EV traction motors, motor control units, alternators, and transmission gears.
Sales from the battery electric vehicle (BEV) business jumped 53% on year with revenue share from the segment increasing to 36%.
As of September 30, the company had a net order book of Rs 23,100 crore. BEV business contributes 78% of the order book.
