Norton Motorcycles, a producer of premium handcrafted motorcycles and part of TVS Motor, has announced that Dr. Robert Hentschel is stepping down as Chief Executive Officer and will transition to a non-executive director role with immediate effect.
Dr. Hentschel, who joined Norton in 2021, has played a key role in strengthening the company’s foundations, guiding it through critical phases of its growth strategy, and building a strong operational base. During his tenure, he helped establish a collaborative relationship with parent company TVS Motor, which has been significant in advancing Norton’s progress and preparing it for future growth.
To support Norton’s ongoing development, the company has implemented a new leadership structure. Nevijo Mance will take on the role of Executive Director, responsible for overseeing upstream business functions, including product design, development and engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality control, and supply chain management. His role aims to ensure that Norton maintains its standards of craftsmanship, quality, and innovation in producing motorcycles.
Richard Arnold, who was appointed as Executive Director in June 2024, will manage downstream business operations. His responsibilities include marketing, brand management, sales, distribution, customer relations, after-sales service, product management, and public relations. Arnold’s role is focused on improving the customer experience, expanding Norton’s market reach, and enhancing its brand presence globally to reflect Norton’s dedication to quality in its customer interactions.
