Integrated electric mobility solutions provider Magenta Mobility, which already operates in Noida extended its services to four additional cities in Uttar Pradesh– Lucknow, Agra, Kanpur, and Varanasi. This expansion forms part of the company’s aim to accelerate the transition to electric mobility in India, and position itself as a key player in the sustainable transportation landscape.
To facilitate this growth, Magenta plans to establish a robust EV infrastructure in the state, including AC and DC charging hubs. Collaborations with leading Charging Point Operators (CPOs) and a partnership with Jio-BP will ensure a reliable and fast charging network. These initiatives aim to support the company’s target of deploying over 2,500 EVs in Uttar Pradesh by 2025, catering to the increasing demand for last-mile delivery services.
Magenta Mobility’s Founder and CEO, Maxson Lewis, said, “The state’s incentives for electric vehicle deployment, along with access to skilled workers and land for infrastructure development, create a solid foundation for our expansion.” He added that with a clear roadmap in place, the company is focused on establishing a strong presence in key markets across the region, which will be instrumental in accelerating the adoption of sustainable mobility solutions.
Magenta’s partnerships with companies such as Flipkart, Amazon, Porter, Delhivery, and Kuehne+Nagel are integral to its strategy. These collaborations aim to integrate the company’s EV fleet into existing logistics networks, improving delivery efficiencies while promoting the adoption of sustainable mobility solutions.
In addition to environmental benefits, the expansion is expected to generate significant local employment. Magenta plans to hire over 1,200 Delivery Partners to ensure operational capacity and meet growing demand.
Uttar Pradesh’s incentives for EV deployment, coupled with infrastructural support, align well with the company’s aims. Magenta’s initiatives aim to support the region’s transition to greener, more sustainable transportation.
