Nissan Motor India has started exporting its recently launched New Nissan Magnite to South Africa as part of its ‘One Car, One World’ initiative. This follows the vehicle’s launch in October 2024, with the first shipment being dispatched from Nissan’s Alliance JV plant in Chennai. Within a month, over 2,700 units have been exported to South Africa.
The New Nissan Magnite is manufactured at the Chennai facility and will be exported to more than 65 international markets, including those with left-hand drive requirements. Since its initial introduction in December 2020, the Magnite has achieved global sales exceeding 150,000 units. The latest version builds on this success, aiming to strengthen Nissan’s position in both domestic and international markets.
The New Nissan Magnite was launched in October 2024 at an event in New Delhi. As part of Nissan’s broader strategy under ‘The Arc’ plan, the represents an effort to enhance India’s role as a key manufacturing and export hub. The Magnite’s popularity across markets has supported the company’s plans to extend its reach to new international destinations.

The export of the New Nissan Magnite reinforces India’s importance as an export hub and strengthens Nissan’s presence in the AMIEO region.”

The updated Magnite includes a redesigned exterior and interior, offering enhanced safety features such as a reinforced body structure, six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control System, and Hydraulic Brake Assist. It incorporates over 20 segment-first features in India, emphasising its focus on safety and functionality while meeting global standards.
