Ashok Leyland, a flagship of the Hinduja Group and one of India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, inaugurated its fifth Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) dealership in West Bengal. The new facility in Siliguri aims to meet the growing demand for commercial vehicles in the region while enhancing customer service capabilities.
Located at Eastern Bypass Road, Bhaktinagar, Siliguri, the new dealership, operated by Happie Trucking, also includes a dedicated workshop facility at Debgram, New Jalpaiguri. These locations are equipped with advanced tools, quick-service bays, and robust infrastructure to deliver a superior customer experience.
Speaking about the expansion, Mr Viplav Shah, Head – LCV Business at Ashok Leyland, said West Bengal and Eastern India at large have been a key market for the company. It has always recognised the potential this region has and are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. “This new dealership will bolster our presence in this geography. The overwhelming success of our ‘DOST Range’ and now the ‘BADA DOST’ can be attributed to the robustness of our products and the extensive reach of our network,” he added.

Ashok Leyland currently offers a comprehensive range of LCV products, including the BADA DOST, DOST, PARTNER, and MiTR. The BADA DOST is the company’s first product built on a new, robust LCV platform, featuring four variants – i2, i3+, i4, and i5. Powered by an 80 hp BS6 engine, it offers good power, mileage, payload, and load body length, making it ideal for both inter- and intra-city applications.
Ashok Leyland has over five lakh LCVs in operation across India. All products are manufactured at Ashok Leyland’s advanced Hosur plant.
The company has also focused on ensuring robust service retention, with 70% of customers returning to its dealer workshops post-warranty. With a network of over 1,700 outlets nationwide, it guarantees authorised service centres at every 75 km along major highways
