Maruti Suzuki announces 10% sales growth in November 2024 with 181,531 units sold

In November 2024, Maruti Suzuki India Limited recorded total sales of 181,531 units, which included 144,238 units in domestic sales, 8,660 units sold to other OEMs, and 28,633 units in exports.

In the mini segment, the company sold 9,750 units of the Alto and S-Presso models, compared to 9,959 units in November 2023. The compact segment, which includes the Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, and WagonR, recorded 61,373 units sold in November 2024, a decrease from 64,679 units in the same month last year.

The mini and compact segments combined contributed 71,123 units in November 2024, down from 74,638 units in November 2023. The mid-size segment, with the Ciaz model, saw sales of 597 units, an increase from 278 units in November 2023.

The utility vehicle segment, which includes the Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, and XL6, sold 59,003 units in November 2024, compared to 49,016 units in November 2023. The Eeco van segment recorded sales of 10,589 units in November 2024, up from 10,226 units in November 2023.

Total domestic passenger vehicle sales, including light commercial vehicles (LCV), amounted to 144,238 units in November 2024, an increase from 136,667 units in the same month last year. Sales to other OEMs grew to 8,660 units, compared to 4,822 units in November 2023.

Export sales in November 2024 reached 28,633 units, an increase from 22,950 units in the same month in 2023. The total sales for November 2024, including both domestic and export units, amounted to 181,531 units, compared to 164,439 units in November 2023.

This growth aligns with Maruti Suzuki’s ongoing export expansion strategy. The company recently reached the milestone of 3 million cumulative vehicle exports, marking a significant achievement in the global market. The 3 millionth vehicle was part of a shipment of 1,053 units that left from Gujarat’s Pipavav port, including popular models like the Celerio, Fronx, Jimny, and Baleno. Maruti Suzuki aims to expand its exports to 750,000 units by 2030, in line with the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

Between April and October 2024, Maruti Suzuki’s exports grew by 17.4%, with 181,444 units shipped to nearly 100 countries, highlighting the company’s profit in international markets.
