Tata Motors reports marginal growth in November sales with 74,753 units

Tata Motors saw a slight sales increase in November 2024, selling 74,753 units compared to 74,172 units in November 2023. This represents a marginal overall growth driven primarily by passenger vehicle sales. Domestic sales also experienced a minor uptick.

“Total domestic sales were up 1% at 73,246 units last month as against 72,647 units in November 2023,” Tata Motors said in a statement.

Passenger vehicle sales

Passenger vehicle sales, including electric vehicles, reached 47,117 units in November 2024, a 2% increase from the 46,143 units sold in the same month the previous year. Domestic passenger vehicle sales, also including EVs, mirrored this growth, rising 2% to 47,063 units from 46,068 units.

“Total passenger vehicle (PV) sales, including EVs, were at 47,117 units as compared to 46,143 units in the year-ago month, up 2%,” it added.

Commercial vehicle sales

Commercial vehicle sales experienced a decline, dropping 1% to 27,636 units in November 2024 compared to 28,029 units in November 2023. This slight decrease contrasts with the growth seen in the passenger vehicle segment. Overall, Tata Motors experienced modest sales growth in November, driven by passenger vehicles.
