Charge Zone’s Pritesh Kumar passes away at 46, leaving auto industry shocked

Pritesh Kumar, Director of Business Development at Charge Zone, passed away on Friday, December 13, following a cardiac arrest.

He was part of the ETAuto EV Conclave 2024 just three days prior and the suddenness of his death has left his close associates stunned.

Kumar had a lot of innovative ideas about the auto industry where he spent two decades which included considerable stints at Mahindra & Mahindra and Nissan Motor India. He was at M&M for nearly a decade till 2014 before moving to Nissan. He then returned to M&M as Head – Fleet & New Age Business, for nearly seven years.

Kumar then joined Charge Zone, the EV charging network provider in October 2024, where he was responsible for both B2B and B2C operations. He played a key role in optimising network use through marketing and customer relationship management campaigns, and in scaling Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) solutions.

An alumnus of ICFAI Business School, Kumar had an MBA in Marketing following a Bachelor of Engineering degree from BIET, Davangere.
