STATEMENTS

José López-Tafall, general director of ANFAC, indicated that “2024 ends with a slight increase in the electrified market compared to the previous year, exceeding 115,000 units. Although, on the other hand, it should also be noted that the market share continues to remain around 11%, lower than the previous year. A figure that will need to increase significantly to meet the emissions reduction requirements set by the CAFE regulations for 2025. Therefore, from the sector we positively value the continuity of MOVES aid until June 30, 2025. A necessary measure that sends a message of certainty to citizens to make the leap to electrified vehicles with aid of up to €7,000 for passenger cars and €9,000 for light commercial vehicles, as well as with the continuity of the 15% personal income tax deduction for the acquisition of electrified vehicles. “It is an important step to avoid paralyzing the electrified market, the objectives are becoming more demanding and now is the perfect time to advance towards electrification.”
