Xpeng has announced its official entry into the UK, revealing its EV line-up for the region and launching pre-orders for its first model in the region, a right-hand drive version of the Xpeng G6. For the automaker, this expansion marks a key step in its internationalization strategy.
Offering AI-driven advancements, Xpeng is aiming to provide UK consumers a more intuitive, safer, and more customizable driving experience with a focus on convenience and personalization. At a launch event, the OEM showcased its envisioned line-up for the UK, with its key vehicles for the region including the Xpeng P7+, G6, G9, and X9 as well as the eVTOL X2 – a flying car from its Xpeng AEROHT subsidiary.
As part of its UK debut, the OEM has opened pre-orders for its G6 Ultra Smart Coupe SUV, with launch prices starting at £39,990 ($49,762 / €47,951). Deliveries for the all-electric mid-size coupe SUV are expected to begin in March 2025, which itself offers 800-volt supercharging and an extended driving range aimed at meeting the evolving needs of UK and European consumers. Through its operating systems and suite of premium features, Xpeng is similarly aiming to provide these consumers with a seamless and integrated driving experience.
Xpeng’s UK launch marks its latest expansion as it scales across the European market, having initially entered the region in Norway in 2021. Since then, the automaker has established itself further across the region with operations in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Ireland and the UK, with plans for further expansions set to be detailed further in the future.
