Cadillac reveals the 2026 Escalade IQL, its latest EV

Cadillac has revealed the 2026 Escalade IQL, the GM brand’s latest EV that also represents a new variant of the Escalade IQ.

With its new EV, Cadillac is aiming to build on the IQ with additional passenger and cargo capacity that meets the needs of lifestyle customers requiring extra space. To this end, the EV offers three rows with storage for cargo and gear either behind the third row, or the IQL’s eTrunk. It likewise offers an estimated maximum towing capacity of 7500 lbs (3401 kg). Cadillac is planning to sell the new Escalade IQL globally, including in the U.S. and Canada, following the EV entering production in mid-2025 at GM’s Factory ZERO plant in Detroit, MI.

Inside, the vehicle continues the tech-focused, luxurious approach of the IQ that includes Cadillac’s latest technologies that, together, aim to provide occupants with an enhanced in-cabin experience. At the height of this offering is a curved, pillar-to-pillar, 55-inch infotainment display that offers proprietary voice control and navigation functions, as well as an app store and dedicated Escalade IQL graphics. Through the infotainment system, Cadillac is more broadly offering a range of entertainment options that include HD streaming and browser compatibility, allowing users to log into and watch content from their preferred video streaming apps.

As standard, the EV’s seating configuration allows for up to seven passengers with a power folding third-row designed to be folded flat for additional storage. Also standard is its AKG Studio 21-speaker audio system, with Dolby Atmos, which can be upgraded to the available AKG Studio Reference 38-speaker system, which itself can be increased to 42 speakers with the available Executive Second Row package.

At the point of purchase, across all IQL trims, customers will receive a trial to GM’s Super Cruise driver assistance technology through a complimentary, three-year OnStar Super Cruise Plan. At the same time, the EV is equipped with vehicle-to-home (V2H) bidirectional charging capabilities which, when paired with the GM Energy V2H Bundle, allow for the transfer of energy between the vehicle and a properly equipped home during times of need.

For second-row occupants, an available Executive Second Row Package offers stowable table trays, dual 12.6-inch touchscreen displays, a rear command center, dual-wireless phone charging pads, and massaging, heating, and ventilated seats, which also offer 14-way power adjustment and headrest speakers (via the AKG Studio Reference speaker system). A in-vehicle 5G Wi-Fi hotspot from OnStar is also available for the IQL, as is the OnStar suite of safety and connectivity services that aim to enhance journeys and streamline the overall user experience.

In terms of performance, the IQL delivers an estimated 460 miles (740 km) of range, leveraging its 205-kWh 24-module GM battery to do so. When this battery begins to run low, Cadillac highlighted that the IQL is able to replenish up to 116 miles (186 km) of range in 10 minutes at a public DC fast charging station. This setup, altogether, allows the IQL to deliver an estimated maximum output of 750 hp (551 kW) and 785 lb-ft (1064 Nm) of torque, and accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.7 seconds (when the vehicle’s Velocity Max driving mode is activated).

At launch, the Escalade IQL will be offered in four trims: Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and Premium Sport. While pricing starts at $132,695 (£103,391 / €124,076), including a destination freight charge, Cadillac confirmed that this figure excludes tax, title and dealer fees, with the dealer itself setting the final price.
